The Berkshire Robotics Challenge is Back!

Modeled after the FIRST LEGO LEAGUE annual challenge, the Berkshire Robotics Challenge is an opportunity for children from third to eighth grade (ages 8-14) to develop their science and computer skills while designing and programming a robot to complete a challenge.  Students work in teams towards a competitive goal while learning problem-solving, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Each year FIRST LEGO LEAGUE releases a new challenge to teams based on a real-world theme.

The 2022 Challenge theme is Cargo Connect.  Teams will explore the ins and outs of modern transportation, learning how cargo is transported, sorted, and delivered to its destination.

The Challenge has three parts:

  • The Robot Game: build and program an autonomous LEGO SPIKE PRIME robot
  • The Innovation Project: learn more about the science behind the Cargo Connect Chellenge and design a solution to a real-world problem.  Project demonstrations will take place at the Berkshire Innovation Center.
  • Core Values: these are part of what makes FIRST LEGO LEAGUE so special.  Kids apply teamwork and discovery, they innovate, demonstrate impact and inclusivity, and HAVE FUN!
